As the crisis continues in Ukraine, people from Leicester are trying to do their bit to help those in need within Ukraine. We spoke with Claudia the person who initially had the idea of only sending one small minivan to Poland with essential necessities. She posted on her Facebook asking for essential donations however, very little did she know that the people of Leicester were more giving. She was taken by storm with the responses and donations she received. At the moment a venue has offered some space free of charge so the donations can be sorted out.
One Facebook post led to this project, now they have even had offers from a logistic company to have the donations transported to Poland, close to the border of Ukraine. Drop of point East St, Leicester LE1 6NB (11 - 3pm Saturday and Sunday)
