Airlines Supported as UK Monitors Fuel Supply Disruption

Passengers are being urged to stay informed about their travel rights as disruption continues following the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. Travellers can seek guidance by speaking directly to their airline, travel agent or tour operator, or by visiting the Civil Aviation Authority website, which provides up to date advice on delays and cancellations. Additional support is also available through the official air passenger travel guide. The UK government has confirmed it is closely monitoring jet fuel supplies and is working alongside airlines, airports and fuel providers to keep passengers moving and minimise disruption. Efforts are ongoing to secure a long term solution that will allow shipping to resume safely through the Strait of Hormuz. To support airlines during this period, temporary flexibility has been introduced around airport slot rules.
